Urša Prek (1993, Slovenia) is an interdisciplinary artist based in Eindhoven, Netherlands. Her work, ranging from visual to sound installations, explores the territories of memory and history. She is driven by a personal curiosity about what makes us who we are, especially in terms of relative experience: inexperienced histories, trivial memories, and their connection to space. From audio, video and sculpture, her work falls some place in between.

“Imagine, I am a collage of moments of ‘here and now’, but I am also ‘tomorrow and there’, as well as ‘back then and there’. So, in a way, I exist in multiple timelines and spaces, or rather, they all exist simultaneously within me. I am curious about these bridges that appear within me – nostalgia being one of them. Or, for example, finding footage of yourself that you do not remember. Is this still an archive of your memory? I wonder, how much of everything I think is lost and unimportant, is actually seeded deep in me. All I need is to find it, re-enact it.” – Urša
